World Humanitarian Day: Stand together event

WHO: Humanitarian Coordinator ad interim for South Sudan and humanitarian community  
WHAT: Stand together event 
WHEN: Friday, 18 August 2016 at 2:30 p.m. 
WHERE: UN OCHA (near Seventh-day Adventist Church and Munuki/Gudele roundabout) Juba, South Sudan 
On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, humanitarian organizations in Juba will stand together on Friday 18 August at 2:30 p.m. to rally support for people affected by humanitarian crisis and pay tribute to the aid workers who help them. 
This year World Humanitarian Day advocates specifically for the protection of civilians and aid workers. At the “stand together” event, participants will reaffirm that civilians caught up in conflict and aid workers in South Sudan are #NotATarget, and demand action to protect them. 
After the event, senior members of the humanitarian community will be available for interviews.
