The ERIS Annual Democracy Lecture

Electoral Reform International Services (ERIS) and the City of London Corporation invite you to the ERIS Annual Democracy Lecture with Dr Jibrin Ibrahim, Director of Nigeria’s Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD).
Dr Ibrahim is one of Nigeria’s leading civil society democracy activists and was a member of the Electoral Reform Committee established by President Yar Adua. He was previously National Governor of the Citizens Forum for Constitutional Reform, a coalition of 90 NGOs which campaigned for the reform of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution. Dr Ibrahim will speak on the importance of democracy and good governance in Sub-Saharan Africa and why it is important for economic development and prosperity. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
ERIS is a not-for-profit London based NGO which works with international agencies, governments, election management bodies, non-governmental organisations and others to strengthen democratic institutions, processes and culture around the world.
The City of London Corporation provides local government services for the Square Mile and is committed to supporting and promoting UK based financial services.
