A South African team has joined the international relief mission in Somalia.More than 30 specialists – including paramedics – flew into Mogadishu earlier today.

They’re bringing in several tonnes of aid supplies. And plan to work in the strife-torn city for ten days. More than 100,000 people have fled to Mogadishu in recent weeks.

That’s to escape famine in the south of the country.

But the city remains a war-zone.
