Seychelles: President Ramkalawan Congratulates Mauritius on Independence Day

In a message, marking the 55th Independence Day anniversary of the Republic of Mauritius, President Ramkalawan describes this year’s anniversary as “a significant milestone the nation’s history, as it celebrates over five decades of independence and progress. “Over the years, Mauritius has achieved remarkable growth in a multitude of sectors, becoming a leading nation in our region and the African continent.” Commented President Ramkalawan.

He attributes the development and stability of Mauritius as a testimony to its government and people's hard work and resilience. “Through its good governance, democracy and human rights, Mauritius has earned respect and admiration of the international community describing it “as a valued member of the global family of nations.”

In a separate message to President Prithvirajsing Roopun, the Present Ramkalawan, spoke of the excellent bilateral relations between Seychelles and Mauritius, “a relationship between two nations is based on strong partnership and collaboration built on mutual trust, shared values and common understanding. Beyond the many areas of cooperation, the two nations share a long history of association, geographical proximity, and ancestral linkages concludes President Ramkalawan.
