Libyan rebels are inside Colonel Gaddafi’s Tripoli compound following a fierce fight. They now claim to control most of the capital three days after entering the city.
Rebels are on the square where Colonel Gaddafi used to make speeches to the nation. But exactly where Gaddafi is, no one seems to know. Smoke has been rising over the Libyan capital throughout Tuesday as a result of pockets of fighting between the two sides.
Casualties are said to be mounting, although electricity in Tripoli has been restored after hours of a blackout.
