Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met with the Minister of Defense and Military Production and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces General Mohamed Zaki, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar and the commanders of the main branches and senior commanders of the Armed Forces at the Strategic Command headquarters.
The meeting reviewed topics related to the activities and tasks of the Armed Forces and their efforts to protect Egypt's national security on all strategic directions of the state.
The meeting also touched on regional and international developments and their repercussions on national security, in light of the current conditions and challenges in the region. The President highlighted the efforts made by the Armed Forces in all missions entrusted to them and the role they play in protecting the borders of the state against all potential hostilities and threats. This is in addition to their contribution to supporting development endeavours and the completion of mega national projects in cooperation with all state institutions to provide citizens with a decent life.
