Minister Attaf received by Mauritanian Prime Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf was received, Tuesday in Nouakchott, during his working visit to Mauritania, by the Mauritanian Prime Minister, Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud.

On this occasion, Mr. Attaf conveyed to the Mauritanian Prime Minister the greetings of his Algerian counterpart, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane and discussed with him ways to preserve and strengthen the dynamics characterizing the cooperation relations between the two countries, as a prelude to the next steps of bilateral cooperation.

During this meeting, the two sides discussed the follow-up of the implementation of the results of the 19th session of the Grand Joint Commission of Algerian-Mauritanian cooperation held last September in Nouakchott, including the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the socio-economic, cultural and scientific fields, and the need to work to mobilize the human and material resources necessary to accelerate the implementation of joint projects between the two brotherly countries.

The two parties also discussed preparations for upcoming bilateral events, including the meeting of the Monitoring Committee and the holding of the 20th session of the Grand Joint Commission scheduled in Algiers.
