From 29 July until 3 August 2016 Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Klaus Töpfer, former German Federal Minister for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, former Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Founding Director of the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) will be holding lectures on Renewable Energies and Nature Conservation in Namibia in the framework of the ifa Public Lectures Programme.

Admission to all public events is free.
Not open to the public:
29. July 2016; 14h00, NIPAM on the occasion of a Conference of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation „Renewable Energy: focusing on the eradication of poverty and the role renewable energy can play in shaping a country’s foreign policy”
In addition, Prof Töpfer will be holding talks with students from the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS), the Private School Swakopmund and the Namib High School Swakopmund.
