The first meeting of the Political Consultation Committee at the level of senior officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held Sunday in Riyadh.
The Algerian delegation was chaired by the Director General of Arab Countries (at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Noureddine Khandoudi, and the Saudi side by the Deputy Minister of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, with the participation of the Algerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mohamed Ali Boughazi, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Algeria, Dr. Abdullah Al-Busairi, and officials of Foreign Affairs of both countries.
The meeting was an opportunity to review the historical and strategic bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to promote them in various fields. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.
