The Office of the President of the ECOWAS Commission under the leadership of H.E. Jean Claude Kassi Brou is organizing a Management Retreat for the Management of ECOWAS commission, Directors-General of GIABA and WAHO, the Auditor-General of ECOWAS Institutions and heads of other ECOWAS institutions, which is expected to hold from 24th to 29th January 2022, in Assinie – Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.
Recall that this management assumed office 1st March, 2018 and with a few months to the end of their tenure, there is need to review the status of accomplishments in order to assess the progress made in relation to the objectives set by ECOWAS Member States and to prepare, in optimum conditions, for handover to the next Management.
The Retreat will review and assess the status of the implementation of the mandate of Management as at the end of August 2021, which includes the progress made in the implementation of the work programmes and cross-cutting organisational support activities in relation to the Community’s objectives; Assess the challenges faced in the effective implementation of the work programmes and support activities; Recommend measures to be implemented to ensure the achievement of the strategic objectives; Prepare for handover to the next Management in July 2022.
Other Participants expected to participate and support the retreat are staff from the Office of the President, the Office of the Vice-President, the Departments of General Administration and Conference, of Telecommunications and Information Technology and Communication directortes
