ROME, Italy, December 14, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Italy took centre stage in Dakar recently with the 12th Italian Language Week. The Senegalese capital enjoyed 7 days of cultural events, film screenings, concerts, theatre performances and language competitions.
The initiatives were organised by the Italian Embassy in Dakar, which also promoted a charity concert in Florence to commemorate the tragic events of 13 December 2011, which saw the killing of two Senegalese citizens and the serious wounding of another three.
