Amnesty does not have a DRC-based spokesperson
LONDON, United-Kingdom, December 9, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Amnesty International would like to stress that any statements made by Geoffroy Claise Youlou at a press conference in Kinshasa yesterday (9.12.11) are not authorized by the organization and should therefore not be attributed to Amnesty International.
Amnesty International does not have an office in the Democratic Republic of Congo, nor any representatives authorized to speak on behalf of the organization in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As such, Amnesty International does not accept responsibility for the content of any message, statement or report issued by an Amnesty International representative in Congo.
