Côte d’Ivoire / UNOCI chief receives Iran Ambassador

 

ABIDJAN, Côte d’Ivoire, December 14, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d’Ivoire, Bert Koenders, on Tuesday afternoon, received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Côte d’Ivoire, Nobakhti Seyed Reza, at the headquarters of the United Nations mission in Abidjan.

 

Speaking after the encounter, Mr. Nobakhti said he and the Special Representative had discussed the political situation in Côte d’Ivoire. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran said he had also thanked the UN mission for its efforts to help bring peace to the Ivorian people.

 

“I would also like to reaffirm our support for the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire for the work it has done for Côte d’Ivoire,” said Ambassador Nobakhti Seyed Reza.
