Italy / Egypt: Minister Terzi expresses concern over developments
ROME, Italy, November 22, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi has expressed strong concern over developments in the situation in Egypt and the climate of tension and violence currently sweeping the country.
Our country, said the Minister, respects the political process in Egypt but at the same time expects the country to fully respect human rights and the legitimate democratic aspirations of the Egyptian people.
Italy urges all parties concerned to cease all forms of violence, concluded Minister Terzi, and, in light of the on-going electoral process, to display calm and moderation.
