Today, President El-Sisi held a meeting at the Strategic Command headquarters, in the New Administrative Capital, with the Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Minister of Housing, Minister of Transport, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, and Chairman of the New Administrative Capital Company.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that, during the meeting, the President was updated on the relocation process of ministries and government bodies to the New Administrative Capital, given that the Council of Ministers and 14 ministries and sectors have already been relocated to the New Administrative Capital. The rest of the ministries and government bodies are preparing to relocate during the next short period.
In this regard, President El-Sisi directed that the relocation of the government to the New Administrative Capital act as a solid basis for the comprehensive modernization of the Egyptian administrative apparatus, where governance and digitization would the cornerstone. The President emphasized the importance of devoting attention to institutional development, and selecting the most competent calibers in all institutions, after which they have to be provided with training programs to improve their skills professionally, technically and personally.
In doing so, the advanced technological and information infrastructure in the New Administrative Capital would be made use of. These efforts align with the state’s comprehensive development path, which is based on modernizing the infrastructure and promoting human potential, in an effort to build and develop the Egyptian state in a sustainable manner.
