The Office of the President has today announced the appointment of the Home Care Agency Appeals Board.
The Home Care Agency is set up under the Home Care Agency Act (2022) which came into effect on 1st January, 2023. The aim of the Agency is to ensure sustainable professionalised home care services. The Agency’s main functions will include the management of the Home Care Scheme; monitoring of the level of care provided, and; provision of training for home care givers.
The Appeals Board will consider appeals made on decisions taken by the Home Care Agency.
Ms Vanessa Gill has been appointed as Chairperson of the Appeals Board.
The other Board Members are:
- Ms Patricia Rene (Member)
- Ms Julianna Augustin (Member)
The Board has been appointed for a 2-year period effective from 1st March, 2023.
