The President of Liberia, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, on Sunday, December 11, 2022, arrived in the US Capital Washington, D.C. to attend and participate in the United States-Africa Leaders’ Summit.
The three-day event runs from December 13 to the 15th and is expected to bring together about 50 African leaders, including the African Union (AU) Commission leadership, except for those African leaders who were sanctioned by the AU.
President Weah and entourage arrived in Washington via Miami where he has already had engagements with partners and would-be international investors.
The Summit was first held in Washington DC August 4-6, 2014, hosted by former President Barack Obama. It then focused primarily on trade, investment and security of the African Continent.
