Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson will commence a five-day visit to Angola, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He will meet with top government officials to discuss anti-corruption efforts, countering the financial of terrorism, and Treasury’s recent sanctions actions in Africa. This will build off of Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh’s recent visit to the region focusing on diverse and resilient supply chains and creating opportunities for U.S. and international investment.

On Monday in Angola, Under Secretary Nelson will meet with the country’s economic leadership to discuss anti-corruption efforts and their international asset recovery program, AML/CFT controls, and economic reform.
