Zimbabwe: SADC leaders calls end of sanctions

The BBC is reporting that southern Africa leaders called today the international community to end sanctions against Zimbabwe.

“Leaders also called on the international community to end sanctions against Zimbabwe and backed away from the possibility of holding an extraordinary summit on ZImbabwe, against the wishes of the country’s Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai”, BBC reports.

On the audio available here, the president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, said that lifting sactions against Zimbabwe will help implement the agreement.
