The U.S. and Nigerian governments along with U.S. digital industrial company General Electric will launch a new mother-and-child health initiative that would expand access to digital antenatal screenings to more than 2 million expectant mothers across Nigeria. The Healthymagination Mother and Child Initiative will reduce preventable mother and infant deaths. U.S. Ambassador James F. Entwistle; Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Minister of State for Health; Dr. Ado Mohammed, Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, and the General Electric Global Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Immelt will officiate.
