DAKAR, Senegal, June 5, 2015/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa (UNOWA), Mr. Mohamed Ibn Chambas, expresses his deep condolences to the bereaved families, the people and the government of Ghana following the explosion of a gas station that occurred in Accra on 3 June 2015 and caused dozens of deaths and injuries as well as extensive material damage.
M. Ibn Chambas wishes speedy recovery to those injured and assures the people and the Government of Ghana of the solidarity and support of the United Nations in these trying times.
